In Temryuk there were arrested suspected persons in the case of an accident in the village of Volna. Driver Karapet Mikayelyan and bus owner Yury Vecheradze will be under deterntion until October 26. The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated criminal proceedings under articles 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Federal Transport Oversight Service called the reason of the accident, in which 19 people died, brake malfunction. Participants in the transport sector, one of the reasons for such an emergency, called the severity of the tax burden, because of which large carriers have to take transport "from the outside."
According to words of Alina Zelenskaya, the attorney of the National Law Company “Mitra”, Federal Law № 196 "On Road Safety" says directly that carriers, who take a license for carring, are required to conduct regular vehicle inspection and medical examination of drivers, but in fact they do so not always. "And, as a rule, no one checks them. At the same time, it can`t be ruled out that the vehicle was checked and the brakes refused unexpectedly: anything can happen. This will be shown by a special examination, "Ms. Zelenskaya explained, adding that, given the wide public resonance and importance of the facility, it can be assumed that the guilty persons will receive maximum terms, which is up to ten years of imprisonment.
